Getting here
The cliff road, and the better alternative.
Via del Mare leaves the SS163 just east of the church and drops sharply for four hundred metres. It is single-track with passing places and it is not the road to learn on. Our valet will meet you at the top if you ring ahead.
In summer, come by boat. The tender from Positano's Spiaggia Grande runs on the hour from 09:00 to 18:00, takes eleven minutes, costs €15 and is a far better arrival than the road.
Nine guests in ten who take the boat once never drive again.
Parking
Fourteen spaces at the top of the lane, free for day guests, plus two chargers. In August they are gone by ten, which is another argument for the boat.

Accessibility
Lift access from the upper to the lower terrace, step-free to every treatment cabana, pool hoist in the thalasso pool, and a funicular to the cove on request. Tell us in advance and everything is ready when you arrive.
Before you arrive
Practical answers.
Swimwear. Robes, towels, sandals, lockers, unscented amenities, hairdryers and sun cream are all provided. Leave scented products at the hotel — the fragrance rule applies on the terraces.
At least ninety minutes before your first ritual. The water is not an extra — it is the part that makes the treatment work.
Midweek in April, May and October, usually. In July and August, never — we are at the eighty-guest cap most days and turning people away at the top of the lane is nobody's idea of a good afternoon.
Over-16s across the waters and the terraces. Under-16s are welcome in the tidal cove between 11:00 and 13:00 with an adult, and in the lower terrace restaurant at any time.
Occasionally, from same-day cancellations. Ask at reception when you arrive rather than in advance — the desk knows by about ten each morning.
